The Hisense HT Saturn replaces a traditional soundbar with four compact satellite speakers, a control unit and a 6.5-inch subwoofer. Its 4.1.2-channel design supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and lossless-family formats while providing considerably more placement flexibility than a fixed-width bar. Tech Steve found the presentation much more spacious and theater-like than the Hisense U8QG television’s built-in audio. The main tradeoffs are the absence of a discrete center channel, five speaker components that each need AC power and HDMI passthrough limited to 4K/60.

Tech Steve described the change from the U8QG’s built-in speakers as dramatic, with a more spacious and theater-like presentation. There is no discrete center channel, so dialogue is created from the left and right channels unless a compatible Hisense TV contributes its speakers through Hi-Concerto.
Connectivity and features
With a compatible Hisense television, EzPlay 3.0 places system controls and speaker-status information in the TV menu. Hi-Concerto can play the television’s built-in speakers alongside the HT Saturn, while Room Fitting Tuning uses compatible TV hardware to adjust the system for the room. These features are not universal across all Hisense TVs. Bluetooth 5.3 is available for direct playback, but the U.S. model does not list Wi-Fi, AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify Connect or voice-assistant support.
