The Sony ULT FIELD 7 is a large portable party speaker built around powerful bass, flexible sound controls and outdoor-ready construction. Sound quality

The two-way stereo layout uses two approximately 4.5-inch X-Balanced woofers and two approximately 1.8- to 1.9-inch tweeters, separating bass and high-frequency reproduction across four active drivers. ULT1 emphasizes deeper bass, while ULT2 further increases the sense of bass power. A custom seven-band equalizer offers more precise adjustment. Sound Field Optimization can automatically adapt the sound in response to detected ambient noise, although it is disabled when Stereo Pair or Party Connect is active.
Connectivity and features
Bluetooth 5.2 supports SBC, AAC and LDAC, along with multipoint connections for keeping two source devices connected. Sony's app provides access to sound settings, a seven-band equalizer, lighting patterns, DJ effects, karaoke controls and battery options. Tech Steve's older-software unit first required an update through Sony Music Center before it could be used with the newer Sony app. Stereo Pair can create discrete left and right channels with a second ULT FIELD 7, while Party Connect can synchronize as many as 100 compatible Sony speakers.

The Sony ULT FIELD 7 is best for shoppers who prioritize party-level volume, adjustable bass and event features over compact portability. Its four-driver design, ULT bass modes, customizable EQ, dynamic lighting and IP67 construction make it well suited to pools, patios and group gatherings. Karaoke, guitar amplification, USB playback and analog input add flexibility beyond ordinary Bluetooth use. However, it weighs nearly 14 pounds, provides only one shared microphone/guitar input and can fall to roughly three hours of battery life at maximum volume with ULT sound and lighting enabled. It is an excellent fit for hosts and bass fans who will use those extras, but smaller speakers will be more convenient for frequent travel or low-volume personal listening.
